For the past 6 months, our trainers at K9 Metropolitan Specialists have been training 13 Search and Rescue dogs and 5 GP dogs for the selection made by the Malaysia Army.
On Monday 9th September 2024, we had the honour of hosting the Major, Army vet and a few other important people from the Malaysia Army. Demoing them the training of each dog and a quick health check by the Army vet to solidify their own decisions.
ALL 18 dogs were selected by the Major and thankfully all K9s passed their hip x-rays to ensure there are no signs of damage and to ensure the dogs have functional working hips before the rest of their working years approximately 7-8 years is without any joint issues. We hope for the end of September, if not the beginning of October to be the preparation of documents and vet health check window then finally departure of them embarking on their overseas deployment.
