Our drug detection dogs are exceptional at identifying the presence of illicit substances in a variety of environments, including cars, buildings, schools, factories, aircraft, and ships. Under the guidance of their handlers, these dogs signal the presence of drugs through passive behaviours, typically a sit or a ‘stand and stare’. Our dogs can operate across numerous settings such as airports, hospitals, offices, police operations, events, and music festivals.

Our passive drug detection approach ensures that dogs make no contact with individuals during scans, instead positioning themselves in front of the person. This allows security personnel or police officers to follow up with searches for unlawful possession of drugs. K9 Met Specialists Malaysia is licensed by the UK Home Office to store and handle genuine drug samples specifically for training purposes; we never utilise pseudo drugs in our training programmes.

Utilising an Explosive Detection Dog (EDD) remains one of the most reliable methods for detecting explosives. Our explosive search dogs can be deployed in a variety of locations, including buildings, vehicles, aircraft, ships, hotels, and at events such as sporting matches and conferences. Often referred to as “bomb dogs,” they provide a quicker, more effective, and precise means of identifying explosives compared to human search teams, while also serving as a prominent deterrent that reassures staff, visitors, and customers alike.

Our explosive search dogs undergo intensive training, with handlers who are former police or military specialists. All our explosive search dogs hold pet passports, allowing for rapid deployment for overseas assignments. Importantly, we never employ pseudo explosive training aids.
